Attention Dorcas Hawker

This is to Dorcas:

I don't know what changes you made to your blog, but I am locked out. I created a Wordpress account just so I could log into your blog, but it won't let me. Please let me read your stuff; I like what you have to say.

Wow - that did get my attention. Here is the explanation:

I put my blog in private mode where I have to invite people. But I didn't invite anyone. Mainly it is a way to keep me from giving up on my determination to write a book instead of keep blogging. When I watch the stats, and see people reading, then I sink back into the need to write something for people to read. I really want to focus on other areas of my life right now beside blogging, so I just "turned it off" for a while so to speak. Also, I am trying to get a promotion at work and thought it would be a good idea not to have my heart and soul out there for someone to find if they happened to Google my name. Who knows if they would, but I just thought I'd erase my internet presence for a while. I put my wordpress and blogspot blogs to private without inviting people, and I deleted my Xanga and Myspace pages. It just occurred to me that people look up information on people, and if I am trying to attract clients, or in a debate with opposing counsel, and they look for our firm's webpage (we don't have one) and find my personal thoughts instead, well that would be too much information for them ... either I would look too weak perhaps to clients, or it would give personal ammunition to the opposition in a legal debate.

I know my blogging will be missed, but career comes first right now.

Please keep writing guys ... I'll still be reading and commenting from time to time. I appreciate your encouragement of my writing skills and ideas. I promise when I do get a book published you'll be some of the first to know.

Dorcas: I am so sad, I was going to email you that I was locked out as well. Nomad speaks for all of us, but please let us know about your book. If it's as well written as your blog I want a copy. :) God bless you Dorcas, I know you have blessed my life with your writing.
